Chennai: The Chennai High Court on Thursday rejected the plea filed by the son of the deceased Cashier of Martin group to transfer the case to CBCID.
Chennai: The Chennai High Court on Thursday rejected the plea filed by the son of the deceased Cashier of Martin group to transfer the case to CBCID.
Cashier Palaniswamy of Martin group died under mysterious circumstances on May 3 at Velliangadu near Karamadai. Rohin Kumar, his son filed a case to investigate his father's death. He also urged that a post mortem should be conducted in the presence of the RDO and a doctor from their side.
On May 9, the case was taken at the Chennai High court. The justice, then ordered the police to file a detailed report of his death and adjoured the case.
Today, on May 16 the case came for hearing. The justice rejected the plea of Rohin Kumar to transfer the case to CBCID. The justice advised the petitioner to appeal to the Magistrate in Coimbatore for the post mortem. He also told that the case need not be transfered to the CBCID.
The court also told that Rohin Kumar could re-apply to the high court, if he is not satisfied with the judgement from the Coimbatore District Court.
"Meanwhile, the family should be allowed to visit the preserved body of Palanisamy", the justice told.
