Coimbatore : Police arrested the Managing Director of Popular sweet shop for a fraud case, who allegedly collected Rs. 30 lakh assuring job seekers managerial post in his company.
M.S.R. Balachandran is the son of Ramachandran of Ganapathy. He is the Managing Director of Nellai Muthu Vilas Sweet shop. A few days back, he gave an advertisement in a newspaper of recruiting employees for his company.
Responding to the advertisement, hundreds of people applied for the job. During the interview, Balachandran has allegedly demanded Rs. 30, 000 from each person assuring them to appoint as the Manager.

He has allegedly collected more than Rs. 30 lakh from the job seekers. The applicants who gave him money repeatedly contacted him for the appointment letter. The applicants allege not only he refused to provide them the said job but threatened to kill them.
Following this, Govindaraj, one of the applicant who was deceived by Balachandran gave a complaint at District Crime branch office. By the order of District Commissioner of Police, Sumith Saran and under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner of Police Perumal, a separate team of Police led by Assistant Commissioner Chandrasekar and Inspector Nagarajan arrested Balachandran today.
