According to reports, a bike borne-man named Surya (19) who is working as a contractual labour in Navakarai. Yesterday evening, he suffered serious injuries when a large branch of a road side tree suddenly broke and fell on him at KK Chavadi.
He was immediately rushed to Government Medical College and Hospital, where he was declared as brought dead by the doctors.
Gusty winds accompanied by heavy rainfall lashed several parts of the city on Wednesday evening, uprooting branches and hundreds of trees.
