Bringing much respite from high humidity levels, the rains lashed for more than hour across the City. The gusty winds brought the traffic to a grinding halt in many parts. The motorists had to stall the vehicles due to the swirling dust.
At round 7 pm, thunderstorms with gusty winds and lightning were reported throughout the city following which heavy rains pounded for over an hour. Trees appear to have been uprooted and fallen over in various parts in the city and the suburbs.
