The accused have been identified as Sathish, Hari, Dhanapal and Surya. Upon inquiry, all the four are repeat offenders.
Upon the orders of Commissioner, Sumit Saran, a special team was formed under the direct supervision of DC, Balaji Saravanan. Assistant Commissioner, Ezhil Arasu and Race Course Police station inspector, Dheivasigamani, Rajni Kanth and seven others commenced an investigation using the CCTV footage and nabbed the accused within 24 hours of the murder attempt.
