Coimbatore: With less than a week for the Sulur by-polls, all parties have intensified their campaigns. Leaders of all parties have camped at Sulur to garner support for their party. On Tuesday, Chief Minister Edapadi Palanisamy campaigned at Chinniyampalayam supporting Sulur AIADMK candidate Kandasamy.

Amidst a huge gathering, he promised to meet the demands of the people. "Stalin and TTV Dinakaran campaigned here and lured the people with false promises. Even if they win, they cannot fulfil people's demands. Their victory is just another number. Only if the candidate of the ruling party wins, the promises can be met."
"We don’t know, when TTV Dinakaran came and when he started the party? TTV Dinakaran was removed from AIADMK’s basic membership. He is not there in the party for the past 10 years. He is the one who created a crisis for the party and the regime. Dinakaran’s aim is to make AIADMK lose in the elections. Hence he has signed a secret pact with DMK", alleged the CM.
He added that Thanga Tamilselvan has stated that Dinakaran and Stalin are having an agreement. DMK and AMMK are the same. They are having a secret relationship and trying to defeat AIADMK.

"DMK is not a party, it is a corporate company established for the progress of Kalaignar's family. Stalin tired several tricks to capture the CM seat after the demise of Jayalalitha. But he failed miserably. In that frustration, he is been blabbering. He talks about his beauty and many irrelevant stuff during public meetings and campaign. Is he more good-looking than MGR?", asked the CM.
"No party can win without winning the hearts of the people. Tamil Nadu is the State where law and order is at its best. Coimbatore R.S.Puram Police station received the best police station award in India. Around 2.20 lakh CCTV cameras are installed in Chennai and other places in TN. Hence, wherever a crime is attempted, our police department can nab the criminals at the earliest", the CM noted.

"Welfare projects worth Rs. 22 crores has been sanctioned for Irugur Panchayat, Rs. 5 crores for Chinniyampalayam and Rs.2.25 crores for Neelambur panchayat. The 60 year pending Avinashi – Athikadavu project has been initiated, which will largely benefit Coimbatore, Tiruppur and Erode districts", the CM apprised.
The CM also promised that encroachments in Koushika river will be removed. Water bodies in Sulur constituency will be rejuvenated. Employment opportunities will be created for educated youngsters.
