Balasubramaniam has been living in Karuvampalayam in Tirupur along with his two sons and a daughter. As he was unable to take care of his children, he admitted them in a hostel.
During 2014, when the children came home to attend a temple festival, Balasubraniam raped his 12-year-old daughter.
A complaint was filed at Tirupur North Women Police station against Balasubramaniam after the girl revealed that she was raped by his father to the hostel management.
The case was investigated and Tiruppur Mahila court Justice, Jayanthi ordered life sentence to the rapist under POCSO act and fined Rs.10,000. Following this, Balasubramaniam was imprisoned.
