Coimbatore : A four-member gang have reportedly attacked two people using deadly weapons on Avinashi road here on Tuesday morning.
The gang in two-wheelers waylaid Pradeep and Tamilvannan near CSI Chruch on Avinashi road. The duo are residents of Kamarajar Nagar in Ganapathy and were on their way to sign in the district court, as they were out on bail for their involvement in a criminal case.
The four member gang stabbed Pradeep and Tamil vannan using knives and other weapons and escaped from the spot.
The duo who suffered grievous injuries have been rushed to Coimbatore GH for treatment.
Assistant Commissioner, Ezhil Arasu and Race Course Police station inspector, Dheivasigamani have commenced an investigation. The police are on the look out for Sathish, Hari, Dhanapal and Surya.
The deadly daylight attack on the busy roads of Avinashi road has left the people in shock.
