Rajendra Balaji on Monday said actor-turned-politician Kamal Haasan’s tongue should be cut off for his “Hindu terrorism” remark.
Kamal Haasan, President of Makkal Needhi Maiam at a rally in Aravakurichi Assembly constituency in Tamil Nadu on Sunday said that Nathuram Godse was independent India’s first terrorist and he was a Hindu.
His remarks drew strong criticism among the BJP and several hindu outfits.
“Kamal Haasan’s tongue should be cut off for his remarks,” said the Minister for for milk and dairy development.
"In a bid to appease the Muslim community in Aravakurichi and gain their votes, Kamal has passed these remarks. We cannot blame the entire community for act of one individual. The Election Commission should take action against the actor and ban his party.", the Minister added.
Meanwhile, Tamilisai Sou darajan, President of TN BJP has also strongly condemned the actor's comments on 'hindu terrorism' and urged the EC to ban him from campaigning any further for the assembly by-polls to be held on May 19 in TN.
