After May 23, there will be a change in the Centre and State Government. CPI (M) has been campaigning in support of DMK in the upcoming by-election in all four constituencies", said CPI (M) leader G.Ramakrishnan at Sulur DMK election office.
He alleged that the central government has given permission to Vedanta Company to extract hydrocarbon in 274 places between Pondicherry and Gulf of Mannar. While people are protesting against Sterlite Company, the Central Government has granted permission to this company to operate.
He also cited government's plan to install high power electricity towers in agricultural lands, thereby affecting the farmers. The State government which should stand against the anti-people policies proposed by the centre, is acting like a puppet for the Modi government
The senior CPM leader also noted that "A few days back, Telangana Chief Minister Chandrasekar Rao met Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan. And, today he met DMK leader Stalin. There is absolutely nothing fishy about the meeting. All opportunities against BJP government are welcome. This meet cannot be assumed as formation of third front."
"Even the Election Commission is acting in favour of the central government. The EC condemns only the violations of the opposition parties not the BJP", he opined.
