Meanwhile, at Ooty Bombay castle, Nasheer, the brother of the AIADMK ex-City Secretary Raja Mohammed reportedly threw garbage on a sanitary worker. This led to a furore in the Ooty market region. The issue ended only after Nasheer apologized to the sanitary worker.
With summer season at its peak in the Nilgiris, garbage piles are rising all across the district. Hence, any protest by sanitary workers could have led to unnecessary tension mounting in the district.
