Tirupur: Over 50 members of the Secular Progressive Alliance from Mannarai Parappalayam which comes under the 33rd ward of the Tiruppur district, petitioned the District Collector and Returning Officer to dismiss the false implications against them.

The petition states, “We filed a complaint with the police department against the AIADMK’s branch organizer Karuppusamy with proof, for distributing cash to the voters on the day of the election. But the police did not take any action regarding our complaint.

But Karuupusamy got admitted into the Government Hospital accusing the opponent of attacking him and faked the whole incident for which the police registered a case against five of our party members ,without any inquiry. We request the Collector to dismiss the case immediately and take action against Karuppusamy.”
