Coimbatore: In an attempt to nab the masked bandit who stole 814 sovereign jewellery and one lakh cash from the Muthoot Mini Finance unit in Ramanathapuram on Saturday evening, four special teams have been formed by the City Police to catch him.
Coimbatore: In an attempt to nab the masked bandit who stole 814 sovereign jewellery and one lakh cash from the Muthoot Mini Finance unit in Ramanathapuram on Saturday evening, four special teams have been formed by the City Police to catch him.
According to Police, the masked man who entered the unit around evening attacked two workers Renuka and Dhivya, who were at the unit at the time and stole the jewellery worth Rs. 2 crore along with the money and fled from the scene.
On getting the CCTV footages shot in the cameras at the shop and the rice shop below, police have informed that he could be someone who knew the shop well as he found the cash tray and jewellery rack quickly.
The two woman workers are also being interrogated by the police.
A complained was filed at the Ramanathapuram Station by the unit in charge after which Assistant Commissioner Perumal inspected at the spot. Investigation is on.
