1500 staff to attend first-level training for Sulur by-election

Coimbatore: First level training for 1500 government officials who have been appointed for the Sulur by-election is to begin at a private college near Sulur, tomorrow.


Coimbatore: First level training for 1500 government officials who have been appointed for the Sulur by-election is to begin at a private college near Sulur, tomorrow. 

By-election in the Sulur legislative assembly constituency will be held on May 19. A total of 324 polling booths are about to be set up, among which eight are identified as vulnerable booths. 1500 government school teachers and government officers will man these polling booths for which first level training is to be held at a private college in Sulur, tomorrow. 

Speaking on this, electoral officials said, "During the training, electoral officials will train the government officials on handling the polling machines and other work to be carried out in the polling booths."
