Coimbatore : Four women were caught red handed by the co-passengers of a bus while they were trying to scoot.
Coimbatore : Four women were caught red handed by the co-passengers of a bus while they were trying to scoot.
The incident took place at a private bus which was enroute to Perur from Townhall. Four women carrying an infant got into the bus at Townhall. As one of the passenger was carrying an infant, the passengers gave seat to two of them.
When the bus was moving towards Raja Street, the two ladies who were given a seat tried to snatch jewels from a woman who was seated in the front row. The co-passengers who saw this theft caught the two ladies red-handed, while the two other ladies got down from the bus and began running towards Kembatti Colony.
However, the co-passengers chased the two ladies shouting '...Thief...'. The alerted public in the street caught the ladies and thrashed them. All the four ladies were handed over to Big Bazaar street police who arrived the spot upon information. Police took the four ladies in custody and started an enquiry.
