Sathish, Sabarirajan, Thirunavukkarasu, Vasanthakumar, Manivannan who were arrested for sexually abusing young women and later extorting money from them, have been under CB-CID custody for inquiry, since February. Cases were registered against them only under sections such as sexual abuse, misuse of information technology and violence against women.
It is now reported that in the inquiry with the CB-CID, Manivannan has confessed that all five men had been jointly involved in not only sexually abusing and threatening many women, but also raped a few along with videographing it.”
As per the statement given by Manivannan, the CB-CID have thus registered an additional rape charge along with the other cases filed against them. Legal experts say that the accused might be sentenced to life imprisonment in this case.
