Coimbatore : The annual exhibition by the Department of Information and Public Relations was inaugurated here at the Jail grounds near Gandhipuram bus stand on Thursday.
Coimbatore : The annual exhibition by the Department of Information and Public Relations was inaugurated here at the Jail grounds near Gandhipuram bus stand on Thursday.

Dr P. Shankar, IAS. Director of Information and Public Relations inaugurated the exhibition in the presence of the District Collector K. Rajamani and other officials.

The exhibition will showcase various schemes and projects implemented by the State government during the past one year. Around 27 stalls highlighting the details of various departments including agriculture, horticulture, social welfare, education, small scale and cottage industries and others will be on display to the public.

Apart from government stalls, private stalls for clothing and toys are expected to be more this time. And, food stalls will also be part of this expo. The 45-day long exhibition will be open to the public on all days between 4 pm to 10 pm, with a fare of Rs. 15 to adults and Rs. 10 for children.

District Collector K. Rajamani, District Revenue officer, Ramadurai Murugan Corporation Commissioner, Shravan Kumar were present.
