Sathish Kumar, a daily wager who worked at a private farm in Peruntholuvu Kavundampalayam lived with his wife Davamani and daughter Monika (3). Sathish Kumar had borrowed money at Kumbaalapatti in Coimbatore. Since he was unable to repay and could not handle the mounting pressure, he decided to take the extreme step of committing suicide. He first murdered his 3-year old daughter by drowning her in a water tank and then both husband and wife consumed poison.
Dhavamani who is in a critical condition has been admitted to the Tiruppur Government Hospital. Avinasipalayam police have laid hold of the letter left behind by Sathish Kumar and commenced an investigation with regard to the case.
