Coimbatore: The aggrieved relatives of Nirmala (35), the pregnant nurse who died due to alleged medical negligence had filed a petition to the District Collector to initiate action on the doctor.
Coimbatore: The aggrieved relatives of Nirmala (35), the pregnant nurse who died due to alleged medical negligence had filed a petition to the District Collector to initiate action on the doctor.
Nirmala, a nurse at GH was consulting for her pregnancy at a private clinic of Dr. Thilagavathi who is also a doctor at the GH. On March 15, the scan report of Nirmala revealed that the child had died in the womb. The doctor advised Nirmala to get admitted in the hospital the next day to remove the dead foetus.
However, during the procedure it is alleged that the absence of the doctor had resulted in life-threatening complications and ultimately causing the death of the pregnant nurse.
Nirmala’s husband Suresh (38) along with his relatives on Wednesday, petitioned the District Collector K.Rajamani to order to probe the case and initiate legal action on the erring doctor.
