Ganesan of Samooga Needhi Katchi filed his nomination papers with the Election Officer Balakrishnan at the Sulur Tahsildhar office. Ganesan who hails from Saravanampatti area in Coimbatore is the organizing Secretary for the party. Since Samooga Nethi Katchi is not a registered party, he is contesting as an independent candidate.
Addressing the media, Ganesan said, “My first aim is to transform Sulur into a model constituency. If I win the election, I promise to take steps to facilitate TAHDCO loans, build houses for the poor and restore Panchami lands. I am contesting the election to give priority and raise our voices for the Arunthathiyar community in the State assembly.”
