Coimbatore: With the Election Commission announcing its dates for the by-polls in the State, all parties are now gearing up to face the by-polls, gradually, with the main parliamentary elections out of the way. In the first phase, parties have started announcing their candidates and election in-charge for the four constituencies.

Chief Minister Edappadi K Palaniswamy, who is also the Secretary of the AIADMK and Deputy Chief Minister O Paneerselvam have officially released the list of AIADMK candidates who will be contesting the by-election on May 19, in these four constituencies.
The candidates are:
Sulur - V P Kandasamy, (AMMA Council President, Coimbatore district suburbs)
Aravakurichi – V V Senthilnathan (Secretary, Youth men and women camp, Karur district)
Thiruparankundram – S Muniyandi (Party Secretary, Avaniyapuram)
Ottapidaram - P Mohan (Assistant Secretary, Thoothukudi North)
