Coimbatore : Saroon Richa (17) a class XII student from Karumathampatti here hanged herself at her house on Monday after learning that she had failed in the 12th board exams.
According to police reports, Saroon Richa, daughter of Robert Kannady and Shanthi of Mariyamman Koil Street, Karumathampatti here took the extreme step while her parents were away from home on Monday.
Police sources said the girl was found hanging from the ceiling of our house.
After learning of her board exam result, the girl was said to be seen in a depressed state over the past 2 days, police sources said.
On information, the Police reached the spot and sent the body to CMCH for postmortem. Police have commenced investigation.
