According to reports, Ivanjulin (5), daughter of Usha of Kattoor Nagappan Street was raped and murdered by Mahendran (41), who is Usha's second husband. Mahendran had been arrested underthe POCSO Act on April 4, 2016. During the hearing of the case, Magistrate Sri Devi (mahila) of 4th ADJ court sentenced Mahendran to a triple life term and slapped a fine of Rs.3000 on him.
