Coimbatore: Police suspect foul play in the death of a man who was found hanging in a remote place amidst shrubs at KK Chavadi here on Monday.
The public alerted the police after they found the corpse of a man hanging among thorn bushes near K K Chavadi. Upon information, the K K Chavadi police arrived at the spot and commenced investigation.
As the body had injury marks, it is suspected, if the man was assualted and then hung to death.
The deceased has been identified as Swaran Marx from Birbara district, West Bengal. However, the whereabouts of how and why he came to Coimbatore is yet to be ascertained.
Upon orders of the SP, Sujith Kumar, a special team has been formed under the supervision K K Chavadi Inspector, Manoj Kumar to investigate the case.
