Coimbatore: Failing to respond to the treatments, a 52-year-old gaur attack victim who was being treated at the Ganga Hospital in Coimbatore succumbed around noon on Sunday.

The victim P. Chinnaraj from Mankarai was admitted to the hospital after a gaur attacked him on 29th of March. He was rearing cattle near Thadagam reserve forest when the incident occurred.
He was being treated at the Intensive Care Unit in the hospital. However, due to the severity of the injuries, Chinnaraj succumbed.
His mortal remains were being taken to his house in Mankarai.
