Tirupur Collector, K S Palanisamy said, “The Central paramilitary force and police personnel will keep strict vigil round-the-clock at the venue and the strongroom will monitored by CCTV cameras."
The Collector also stated that necessary action will be taken if a written complaint is registered against the AIADMK candidate who urged voters to cast their votes for the 'Twin leaves' symbol at the polling booth. "Electoral officials went to Venkittapuram immediately on hearing that residents of that area will be boycotting the elections. After the residents were reassured, they cast their votes," he added.
