Coimbatore: In the run-up to the second phase of 2019 Parliamentary elections to be held on April 18, the City Police Commissioner has issued a set of restrictions to be followed from tomorrow till May 1.
This set of guidelines will be in force till the election process is complete.
According to a release from City Police Commissioner, Sumit Sharan "Holding public meetings, processions, demonstrations, distribution of pamphlets, pasting wall posters, wall writings, erection of flex boards shall be regulated within Coimbatore City Police jurisdiction for a period of 15 days commencing from midnight on April 17 and ending with midnight on May 1, both days inclusive".
"However, intending applicants are advised to apply for grant of permission, at least five days in advance", the release noted.
