With Election Day less than 12 hours away, EVMs are being sent to polling booths. Once the polling is over, the EVMs will be in safe-keeping at GCT College on Thadagam road.
The District Collector and District Election Officer (DEO) K Rajamani, the City Police Commissioner and officials inspected the room where the EVMs are to be placed. Rooms have been allocated for every legislative assembly constituency, with tight security beefed up in all rooms. A separate monitoring room has also been allocated to monitor the CCTVs that were installed.
