Tirupur : Many government schools across Tamil Nadu were left in the lurch without teachers due to the ongoing JACTO-GEO protest. But fans of actor Vijay arranged for alternate teachers at a Government school in Tirupur.
The JACTO-GEO members are on an indefinite strike since yesterday demanding fulfillment of their various demands. The Government Primary School in Chinniyakavundan Pudur in Tirupur which has about 94 students was shut yesterday since the two teachers who were appointed to handle all the classes had left to participate in the protest.
Meanwhile, fans of actor Vijay in that locality came forward to arrange two teachers who resumed classes for the students in the government school. The fans contributed money to provide for the salary of these two teachers, an initiative that has put them in the limelight.
