Coimbatore : Chief Minister Eddapadi Palaniswamy awarded shields to Coimbatore Pasumai coconut producer company limited and Green Coconut Manufacturers Company in a state level conference conducted by the NABARD Bank in Chennai.
Coimbatore : Chief Minister Eddapadi Palaniswamy awarded shields to Coimbatore Pasumai coconut producer company limited and Green Coconut Manufacturers Company in a state level conference conducted by the NABARD Bank in Chennai.
During the conference, the Pasumai coconut producer company limited was awarded the first prize for good quality neera drink and neem cakes. Green Coconut Manufacturers won the second prize for manufacturing good quality coconut products. Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy awarded the price and shields during the event.
Both firms are known for their involvement in uplifting the livelihood of people in and around Pollachi, Kinathukadavu, Madukkarai and Sulur. The firms also play a major role in availing the grants and subsidy provided by the Coconut Development Board and the State and Central government to its members. NABARD Bank plays a major role in the functioning of these firms by providing funds.
