Since National Girl Child Day is observed on January 24, a private charitable trust ‘Life for All’ organised a silent rally to spread awareness on infant deaths. More than 100 school and college students participated in the silent rally which began at Women’s Polytechnic College and ended at VOC Park.
Speaking on this, the organiser of ‘Life for All’ said, "A report from United Nations has noted that 30 million abortions have taken place in this century. The gender ratio stands at 120 men for every 100 women. This rally was conducted to create awareness on infant deaths."
