Tirupur: A lorry carrying tonnes of straw which was enroute from Tirupur to Negamam caught fire, this evening.

The fire personnel from South and North fire stations, Tirupur rushed to the spot and doused the fire.
According to reports, while the lorry was nearing Mudhalipalayam road, the piled up straws rubed with the high voltage electricity lines and caught fire.
Seeing the fire, the driver and the cleaner abandoned the lorry and escaped.
But in no time the fire spread throughout the lorry and burnt down the goods to ashes. Tirupur rural police have filed a case against the incident.
