In an event held on January 20 in Tirupur, fans of actor Ajith are said to have joined the BJP party in presence of the BJP State President, Tamilisai Soundararajan. Meanwhile, actor Ajith had released a statement clearing his stance on the development stating that he has no direct or hidden political ambitions.
Meanwhile, Ramesh, Head of the dissolved Ajith Fans Association addressed the press in Tirupur today saying that their Association has no connection with the fans who joined the BJP party. "Our association is not linked to any political party, and the Tirupur wing of the Association too is not linked to any political party. We will not defame the name of our ‘Thala.’ Though the Ajith Fans Club has been dissolved, all of us stay united as Ajith's fans," reiterated Ramesh.
