The Nilgiris : A mock fire safety drill was conducted yesterday at the Nirmala Matriculation School at Finger Post, in Nilgiris.
This was done as part of the national fire and evacuation drill day. A demonstration was done for students on the safety measures to be carried out in the event of a fire, and also on providing first aid for the injured during a fire accident.
Members from the fire service department were divided into 10 teams and provided training for the students who were also taught on safety measures to be carried out immediately after a gas leakage.
