According to reports, Prakash and Vignesh of Selvam Nagar in the city were siblings who had a drink together at Murugampalayam. Both brothers had an argument which ended up in a scuffle. In a fit of rage, Prakash stabbed Vignesh with a broken bottle. Vignesh died on the spot. The Veerapandi police recovered Vignesh's body and sent it for postmortem. Thereafter, the police registered a case and arrested Prakash who had absconded for a while.
