Coimbatore: Siruvani Readers' Circle known as Siruvani Vasagar Vattam which instituted the Nanjil Nadan literary award in 2017 has conferred the award to Tamil Research scholar Saravanan for his contribution to the growth of Tamil.

In an award ceremony organized here in the city, D Balasundaram handed over the award to Saravanan and felicitated him.
Speaking on the occasion, writer Nanjil Nadan said that awards will encourage writers to work more for championing Tamil as a language and bring eminence to recipients. "The Readers' Circle work is a praiseworthy one and I appreciate them for their good work," commended Nanjil Nadan.
