But in recent times, this wildlife and the forests have been severely depleted due to human settlements and our urban growth. Human animal conflict has become an unfortunate reality of life in this century. We have seen wild animals entering cities and villages where previously life was harmonious. This is mainly due to animals not being able to live in their habitats peacefully.
Many not for profit organisations work round the year to create awareness about our environment and wildlife so that we can be more sensitive with the wildlife that is surrounding us.
But it seems that no amount of awareness can really increase the sensitivity in us. Even after repeated announcements along the Bandipur - Mysore highway by the Forest department through signages and personally informing tourists in the checkpost, this silly habit of taking selfies in front of animals and provoking them doesn’t seem to stop.

Hopefully the forest department can take more strict action against those who violate the code and disturb animals to no end.
