In Coimbatore, JACTO-GEO members protested in front of District Collectorate today demanding reintroduction of old pension scheme, to withdraw plans to club school education and primary education department, to cancel appointments for intermediate teachers to anganwadis and others. Over 1000 members including primary education teachers took part in the protests here. The protesters raised slogans urging the state government to implement their demands immediately.
