Karthik Subburaj has been visiting theatres screening 'Petta' movie across Tamil Nadu. Today, he visited the fans at a theatre in Tirupur and expressed his gratitude for their over-whelming response for the block buster.
Later, briefing the media, Karthik said that actor Rajnikanth expressed happiness over the film’s good reception.
"When I met Rajni Sir after the release of Petta, he expressed his contentment over the response for the film. The fact that the movie has garnered family audience has brought much satisfaction for me,” the young director of the film noted.
While lauding the role of social media in the success of “Petta”, Karthik Subburaj said that social issues when packaged as a film is always well-received by the audience.
Sakthi Subramaniam, President of Tamilnadu exhibitors association said that the 'Petta' is expected to touch the 100 crore box office mark by January 20, Sunday.
