Coimbatore : Officials from the Coimbatore Division of the Tamil Nadu Forest Department along with mahouts on Tuesday celebrated Yanai (Elephant) Pongal at the Sadivayal Elephant camp in Coimbatore here.
Coimbatore : Officials from the Coimbatore Division of the Tamil Nadu Forest Department along with mahouts on Tuesday celebrated Yanai (Elephant) Pongal at the Sadivayal Elephant camp in Coimbatore here.

The elephant in the camp Bomman was decorated by the mahouts as a part of the celebrations and was fed with Sugarcane, Jaggery and Pongal and a variety of fruits.
Kumki John could not participate in the celebration as he is in musth.
Chief Conservator of Forests Deepak Srivastava headed the event in the presence of District Forest Officer D. Venkatesh. Range Officers Palaniraja and Senthil were also present.
