Coimbatore : Rajamanikkam of Subramaniya Devar Street, in Ramanathapuram here, who was involved in real estate business had loaned Rs.13 lakhs to his relatives, Karuppasami and Rajeswari in September, last year.
The couple reside at Sulur where Karuppasamy was working at the Air Force station, while Rajeswari was working as the warden of a government hostel at Chinna Thadagam, here.
The couple reportedly did not return the borrowed money to Rajamanikkam. Rajeswari, along with her brother Sasikumar, allegedly issued death threats to Rajamanikkam following which he filed a complaint at the Sulur police station.
Based on the complaint, the police registered a case against the three and arrested Rajeswari who has been lodged at the Central Prison. The police are on the lookout for Karuppasami and Sasikumar with regard to the case.
