Ahead of the upcoming season, District Collector J. Innocent Divya today inaugurated 'Happy Roads' to ease traffic flow in the district.
"One of the arterial roads, Charing Cross- Casino Junction will be made into ‘Happy Street’ on Saturdays. Vehicle movement will be halted on this stretch on Saturdays", the Collector said.
Not just regulating traffic, the 'Happy Roads' aims at creating a bond between the people by organising games such as Paandi, Chess, Carrom board and Volley ball.
During the inauguration, the District Collector danced along with the students and showed her support for the initiative.
