Coimbatore : The second edition of ‘Tamizhar Thiruvizha’ will begin on 15th January at CODISSIA grounds here. Several traditional events have been planned for the three-day event.
A release said that over 10 traditional Tamilar-Valour games including Sadu-Kudu, Uriyadithal, Vazhuku Maram, Ilavatta Kal, Silambam, and various others will be conducted and the winners will be honoured with gold medals. Traditional dance performances, an open cattle market and a food court with more than 50 authentic village recipes have also been planned as part of the event.
The events will be conducted from 4 p.m to 7 pm between 15th and 17th January at CODISSIA grounds. Organisers have advised visitors and participants to wear traditional attire for the event.
