With the impact of drought deepening in Gudalur, the forest fire prevention lines will now be drawn for 25 km. Initially, the forest department had began to draw lines for only 5 km in Naadugani Jeenupul tourist botanical centre. Forest officials say that lines will also be drawn in other forest ranges for which public need to extend their cooperation.
