Tea estate worker dies in elephant attack in Nilgiris

The Nilgiris: A tea estate worker died in an elephant attack at Gudalur in Nilgiris.

The Nilgiris: A tea estate worker died in an elephant attack at Gudalur in Nilgiris. 

According to reports, Padmanaban (56), a permanent employee of a Government tea estate at Cherangode, Pandalur taluk, had gone to work in the morning as usual at the Kolappalli Garden division, yesterday. 

Since he did not return home in the evening, his relatives looked for him at various places in the neighbourhood. Meanwhile, Padmanaban was found dead in the Kolappali region. Forest department officials report that Padmanaban was killed by an elephant. An investigation is also on with regard to Padmanaban's death.
