Coimbatore : A convict who was serving life imprisonment at Coimbatore Central Prison died under suspicious circumstances yesterday.
Coimbatore : A convict who was serving life imprisonment at Coimbatore Central Prison died under suspicious circumstances yesterday.
The deceased was identified as Ramasami (56) from Kethampalayam Tirupur and he was imprisoned to life for murdering his son. Ramasami complained of certain health issues yesterday and he was rushed to Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for treatment.
However, doctors pronounced him dead. Doctors found certain injuries in his head and other parts of the body and his post-mortem was done in the presence of Magistrate today.
