Coimbatore: Two big films, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Petta and ‘Thala’ Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam got released in theatres across the globe today and this led to a minor scuffle between the fans as well.
Coimbatore: Two big films, ‘Superstar’ Rajinikanth’s Petta and ‘Thala’ Ajith Kumar’s Viswasam got released in theatres across the globe today and this led to a minor scuffle between the fans as well.
Both the films were released at the Archana-Dharshana theatre complex here and a huge crowd of fans was present at the theatre celebrating the release. Massive cut-outs were erected for the stars and they did ‘Palabhishegam’ as well. Viswasam had its first show at 4 a.m and Petta had its first show at 6 a.m in the complex.
However, the fans indulged in damaging banners and cut-outs of the films. This led to a minor scuffle between the fan groups and police present there managed to disperse the crowd using lathi charge. Irritated fans also damaged the mirrors of police jeep here.
