Coimbatore: Eligible women beneficiaries in the age group of 18 to 40 are invited to apply for the 'Amma Two Wheeler' scheme with the subsidy component of Rs.25,000 or 50 percent of the cost of the two wheeler.
The annual income of eligible beneficiaries should not exceed Rs.2.5 lakhs (per annum), with women hailing from poor socio-economic groups - tribals, destitute women and spinsters above the age of 35 - will be given preference. Women who work in the private sector, unorganized sector, government projects and schemes, and those self-employed can apply to avail of this scheme.
Applications are available at the District Collector’s offices, Panchayat Union offices, town panchayats, municipalities and Municipal Corporation offices. Photocopies of age proof, income proof and community certificate should be attached along with the application. The last date for submitting filled application forms is January 18.
