Coimbatore: Housing Board officials were arrested in Gandhipuram when they were caught red-handed taking bribe from Vijay who is a resident of Tirupur.
Coimbatore: Housing Board officials were arrested in Gandhipuram when they were caught red-handed taking bribe from Vijay who is a resident of Tirupur.
Vijay had approached the Housing Board officials to transfer the ownership of a house which was in his deceased son Gopal's (29) name. Two housing board officials demanded a bribe of Rs.6000 and Rs.3000 each.
Following this, Vijay informed DVAC officials, based on whose instructions Vijay handed over chemical coated notes to the Housing Board officials, Mohan and Thandayudhapani. DVAC officials who were hiding at the spot immediately arrested both of them. DVAC officials are continuing their investigation with the Housing Board.
