Drug merchants across the country are protesting against the online sale of medicines. As part of their protest, drug merchants across the country have filed petition to 719 district collectors. In Tirupur, members of the Drug Merchant Association staged a protest against the online sale of drugs in front of the Tirupur railway station.
"The Centre is planning to implement a law for the online sale of medicines. If made so, abortion pills can be bought easily without proper prescription from a doctor," they alleged. "So, online sale of medicines should be banned," they added.
